This is a reconstructed homestead in new/excellent
condition. The original building was disassembled, mapped &
totally rebuilt w/original logs & lava rock. Walls were
framed inside the logs leaving an exterior wall
approximately 1 foot thick. Interior framing constructed
with 2x6s & insulated. In addition there are new aluminum
clad wood casement windows with glazed low-E thermal glass.
The home has all new electrical, plumbing, & mechanical
systems. The wood flooring & ceilings are hand-hewn &
finished. Wood cabinets are handmade & finished. The kitchen
counter tops are hammered copper & all appliances are
commercial grade.
This home is also equipped with in-floor radiant heat,
forced air heat & refrigerated air conditioning. It has
architectural grade composition shingle roofing; ceilings
are finished wood plank w/exposed wood beams, great room,
kitchen, dining room, & bath on entry level. The master
bedroom, bath & office are on the upper level, family room,
game room, bath, mechanical room, storage & built-in garage
on lower level.
The home boasts a wrap around covered porch (3 sides) &
stamped concrete floor w/heating coils. There is 1fireplace
on the lower level, a large lava rock fireplace & chimney in
the living room & a 3-sided fireplace between the dining &
living room on the entry level, & a fireplace in the master
bedroom on the upper level.
There are 2 guest houses near the main house. Each has a
